So what is on here that would make not only me want to create yet another account, but enough of my current AIM/MSN/Yahoo buddies switch also? I don't see how they expect this to be successful, except for the people who will download it simply because it's from Google. I can understand things like GoogleMaps, but this just seems like a waste of resources. Until we can talk across platforms, I see no reason to another IM program to my list.Comment

Yes I have iChat, but no one using GoogleTalk (except for people like you, who I also have on MSN). It will be one thing when GoogleTalk, which may in itself be a far superior IM program, can be used to chat w/ people using AIM, etc. But if all you can do with this amazing program is talk to the 300 other Google fanatics, then what's the point?Comment

I'm more and more impressed with this. I like the window grouping by default, it's far nicer than other clients.
I also like how you can intuitively dock 2 or more conversations together by dragging them near eachother, and they then take up only one entry on the taskbar between the 2+ of them.
