I try not to vote in these things. I disapprove of the whole concept.
If its a popularity contest, I agree. If its a recognition of people whove added content, I think its fine. Recognition of accomplishment is good (aristocracy of talent and virtue, yada yada) Thats why i vote based on ON topic postings.
But I still appreciate that you voted for me last time.

I was voted in before I was even aware the thing existed. I was in for a year before anyone even told me.
Which isn't to say I'm not terribly flattered, I am. But I'm way to used to being the last person picked (from public school days) to wish it upon anyone. Maybe if it were just one person a year, I could see it okay. But three people every three months? Getting passed over then is a real insult, if you consider these people your friends . . . which I do. Insult's not the right word. Let-down. It's like high school cliqueishness all over again. It's mini-ostracization, and that's one of the worst feelings there is.

I voted for people I thought have done something for this community. Sn00py came to mind immediately because of his graphics. Otherwise, I coudlnt think of anyone immediately.
I know I took a long sabatical from the forum, but i dont know what most of these people on the current vote have done, and often, who they are.

Eh. I was elected when I was on a six month vacation from Poly, and I've also dumped the little icon both you and che are proudly displaying next to your names...
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It seems I am now. I don't know how to add or remove these things.

Hell, sometimes I feel left out often enough in this forum altogether -- not just when we have this election thingy.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
