That's crazy! It sounds like it would be against the law somehow...I mean, if I were an artist whose music was being sold in Walmart I wouldn't be too happy about them altering my CD art.
Wal-Mart doesn't alter without consent. They tell the labels, change or we won't sell it. Because Wal-Mart is such a huge purchaser of cds, the labels cave. As the artists do not own their own work until something like 35 years after the work is made, they really have no say in the matter.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
They censor their music CDs?? What CD are you talking about?
I bought Metallica- Garage Inc. There's a little song on there called So What. I think it was orginally done by a British punk band who just wanted to make a really offensive song. That song was nothing but a bunch of bleeps strung together. I was so pissed. I took my CD back and exchanged it for a Creed cd (which I was reasonably sure didn't have any bad language).
You could say it was the region I was in (Mississippi). But then I went to a mall and bought the real version with all the cuss words in it.
I'm not sure if walmarts do it where I live now, I don't care to find out.

Actually that's pretty good for a company their size.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

the other thing about walmart... I went in there like 6 months ago to buy a PC game (I forget which), but they had it for $10 less than every other store in my area. In this particular store they have TV's all over the place. They had some garbage propaganda on about their "corporate patriotism". I thought I was going to puke.
Wal-Mart is the most un-American store in this country. In fact, they know they are so much so that they would produce some bull**** TV program to reassure everyone they aren't the devil.
Unfortunately since Wal Mart has driven so many other stores out of business Wal Mart is often the only place certain items can be found, so there really is no choice.

Considering the size of their company, if that's the only illegals they have working for them, I'd be amazed. IIRC, Walmart is the biggest employer in the US. I'd expect tens of thousands of illegals to be working there.

I've been kinda in transition and without a home for the past week and spent a lot of my time wandering around.....one of the places has been walmart. Their gas is around 15 cents cheaper per gallon on average than the other gas stations in various towns I've been in. The food is much cheaper than the Krogers and other grocers. I don't know why some of you hate it. Frankly, in a lot of small towns the people there are incredibly impolite to outsiders and a bit more compeition for their job could be good.
