Hmm, try zooming in as close as you can get. If you see the elevation given (again, have your cursor hovering somewhere over the main map area, not the little corner map you can enable from the View menu) inside the text box at the bottom of the map between the Lat/Lon coordinates and the Streaming bar, start slowly zooming back out and check for the elevation again. There is no reason you shouldn't be seeing the elevation in the free version, which is what we're all using I presume, so it's really odd you're having this problem.The cake is NOT a lie.
