Is that cadet wearing patent leather shoes?

God the academy kids are such wussies.

      They are probably cloraframs.

yes, cloraframs. I own a pair, actually I have bought 2 pair of the course of my career.

In boot camp they issue leather shoes for all your dress uniforms. Which is basically every uniform except the working uniform you are supposed to wear them. They teach you to shine these. And they seem to pay an perverted amount importance to shining shoes. I was never that good, no matter how hard I tried. But I never tried spitting on my shoes or other weird things.

Long story short, shining leather shoes can only make them look so good. The easier way is to go out and buy a pair of cloraframs. They don't like you wearing them on board ship (though no one will say anything), but perfectly fine for shore duty. And the real purpose of these shoes is just for inspection. They look much better than leather shoes as long as you don't scratch them up. So I only wore them during inspections. They are made of plastic (some type of plastic product) so they do scratch easy. And they do tend to be real ****ing hot in the Florida sun. I couldn't imagine wearing those things in Las Vegas. They'd probably melt.

I love the girl's face, how she seems to be "magnetized" by the guy...
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

She just looks cross-eyed to me.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

So do I, but part of a cadets training which is to make everything as hard and demanding as possible, is shine shoes the hard way daily. And for a presidential visit, only the Air Force.

Long story short, shining leather shoes can only make them look so good
Your on crack man, I can make a pair look like mirrors it just take patience and practice. I own clorophams but just for those instances when I don't have my leathers ready. Shined leathers look better, and I learned real fast that if you wear clorophams all the time you are going to have to buy a new pair every week. You screw up your leathers and you just polish over them

They don't like you wearing them on board ship (though no one will say anything)
You wear those to my repair locker and you would be runningin place in an FFE for two hours with your thumb in your mouth. The last think I need is hose team members covered in burning, melted plastic

                              • These guys really need to be put out of business
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
