Huh. Well, maybe. (Installed it at least year or two ago. I think it was a T40... *scratches head* )

There's 3-4 different wireless mini-PCI choices for the T40 series.

Hmm... Then I'm not sure which wireless card I was working with. *shrug*

Best of luck anyway. I'd help if I could duplicate your hardware setup, but the one I have is a intel pro wireless, which works.

          WOW

I cannot praise Ubuntu highly enough.

Someone has finally gotten it right. PAINLESS and quick install, and everything works out of the box! Wireless internet included!

          Amazing!

Somewhere in California - At 8:30 PDT with the release of Snoopy Linux 2.1 and Goober Linux 1.0, the number of Linux distributions finally surpassed the number of actual Linux users.

                  Tada!

Now, next up is to figure out how to get Linux to sleep and standby/hibernate...

Why the hell are you doing this to yourself?

IT'S DONE! COMPLETE! Now I just need to figure out how to get my laptop to detect its display, keyboard and mouse!

Because I need a *nix on my laptop so I don't need to use the lab computers at school. Pay attention!

You'll be hard pressed to find a computer science department that doesn't use *nix a lot. It's a geek's OS.

glad you found that Ubuntu works--I tried it, and I'll have to say it's a good distro. Just not to my tastes, esp. since I already have gentoo working beautifully and flawlessly.
