                IBM sold its Thinkpad line to Lenovo, which was already manufacturing them for IBM anyway.

                  Lenovo bought IBM's PC business and moved its headquarters to New York and named an American as its CEO (a former IBM VP).

                  Primary design work will continue to be done in Raleigh, North Carolina like before.
