AIHA btw for those who are unfamiliar, is essentially one's body killing one's red blood cells ... it's not always fatal, as shown above, and it can theoretically be cured if there is an external cause (which is unfortunately beyond current medical/veterinary science to determine usually). However, having a brother with it also sounds like either an early-in-life parasite, or a genetic condition
But it can definitely go into long remissions
