I luv u still..), but who in addition, was constantly being propositioned by his racist stereotype of an Asiatic psychopath enemy – the slutty but voluptuous Princess Ardala.

Neither got laid, which is the key to the secret: both were poofs. Ming just didn't offer Flash any action.

San Angeles is still probably a ways away, though with increasing land prices and people's increasing tolerance for 2-hour commutes, the distance between the two metro areas has closed by a hundred miles or so in the last ten years.

No sex though. Bummer, especially since the cute female cops put out so easily. I mean, she "slept" with Sylvester Stallone – thems low standards.

There are a couple of things the movie got wrong though- at least around San Francisco there has been a trend towards more local restaurants and fewer Taco Bells. Also the ethnic mix in the movie is way off from projected and even present day CA demographics.

Star Trek (and other sci fi shows) predicted lots of technological advances.

Doctor Who predicted that the UK moetary system would change to decimals, that there would be a female british PM in the 80s and that a tenth planet would be discovered.

Year of the Sex Olympics predicted the reality TV show craze back in the 60s.

Predicting technologies or social changes is one thing, actually getting names right is another. What other names are there in Demolition Man?

The abortive "Lone Gunman" series was run several years ago, long before 9/11 was even on the drawing board. It's not impossible that the the idea originated with the show. Someone who watched it may have been so impressed that he suggested it to thew al Qaeda hierarchy.
