    Starting in August, Mars will look as large as the
    full moon to the naked eye.
    And as with that other thread, there is some bad replication of information, only this time the important piece of information was omitted all together. Whoever typed this up left out that you have to be looking through an optical aid like a telescope (and a big one at that...) to get a view remotely approaching anything like what's described in the email. That just made me cringe reading that.

      Just for amusement, you might want to calculate what dimeter Mars would have to have for it to look that large at that distance ...

          Sorry, but I don't find math amusing. All I know is you aren't going to find an optical telescope capable of producing an image anything like what's described in that email.
