No. She probably likes country music and Indigo girls. Next.

          Nyuck nyuck.

Come on people...challenge me. Surely there's an opera bit you've heard in a commercial you want me to identify.

Are there people who honestly find it better than Britney Spears?

There's an Opera song that goes like "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH RIVVVVIOOOO" repeated over and over.

              Ideas?

Yes. Oddly enough, they happen to comprise the majority of the population.

                  There is no such thing.

And these people who listen to opera..they actually listen to it while alone, and not just when people are around for the sake of impressing them with how refined they are?

Indeed. They even spend thousands of $$ on their private CD libraries rather than just parading around at opera perforances to be seen.

Is there some sort of website that one can use to see if any of these offenders live near them?

Alright, Boris, I'll take you seriously.

Given the other kinds of art/culture I like, it's always seemed to me as if I should like opera. I'm certainly not hostile to it; I just haven't really been exposed to it. So: if someone were to want to start appreciating opera, where should he start?

There are three low-risk starters for opera:

Carmen (the most popular opera in the world)
The Barber of Seville (a genuinely funny opera)
                              La Boheme (a romantic tear-jerker)
