It happened to me last year, i made a load of transfers without reading the rules and deducted myself a load of points, but i eventually finished just below mid-table at least.

Only if a player in your 11 doesnt play and at least one of your subs plays.

Obviously GK only comes on for your GK.

Can you change the formation to, say, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1?

Yep, just sub out a striker and put in a midfielder or vice versa.

You can play 3,4 or 5 at the back or in midfield and 1, 2 or 3 up front.

Good news for me is that my del Horno patience paid off. Bad news is that Malbranque burned me for .2 mil before I got around to sending him packing. The values system is screwed in some ways.
