Orwellian is a good description of Bill O'Reilly. I find his use of "talking points", scripted displays outlining his point of view particularily chilling. All that's missing is a flashing display at the bottom of the screen prompting the viewer to remember them.
I think that if by some freakish accident I were in the position of being sought after for an interview by these guys I'd insist on having my own seperate cameraman and the right to give the uncut footage to another network should I find the material aired to my disliking."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment

I prefer newspapers and online content when it comes to getting an in-depth look at news. I can read and digest the material at my own pace, go back over it if I want, read it again and so on. With TV news, if you don't "get it" in 30 seconds or so, you're just out of luck. But I do like watching documentaries, so TV isn't all bad by any means.

I come here for in-depth coverage of the news.
I usually work out at the Y right about the time O'Reilly's show comes on. The treadmills are placed in front of banks of TVs and have audio outlets that allow the user to select TV or a set of radio stations. I usually choose the treadmill in front of the TV showing FOX and play the 60s radio station. Watching ol' Bill foam at the mouth while listening to The Who, the Stones, Jimi Hendrix and etc, is a psychedelic experience. It really gets me pumped. I just wish that Bill would wear a more approriate uniform, something with cool silver piping, red, white and black trimming.......you know what I mean. More hand gestures would be nice too."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment
