    stupid journalists...

    Fujitsu has unveiled, what it claims is the world’s first electronic paper - a flexible format that can display colour images without using power.
    i dont read the news in order to learn what someone claims, i read the new for fact.

    if the journalist cant do a simple research they should stick with copying fujitsu's pr....

      I did a project on this technology for school 2 years ago...it hadn't been made yet, but the ideas and the plans for construction were done...however, the idea hadn't been attached to any name or corporation yet...

            They're meant to show ones approval, or even agreement, with a statement made by another poster immediately before. Or, in rarer instances, the general message conveyed in the opening post.





            Just one idea: having one sheet of paper represent an entire library. You can have all of the ease of reading from normal paper (I assume this isn't backlit at all, so it's just ambient light you're seeing), but all the data storage of a hard drive. Just plug it into your computer, download the book onto the paper, and start reading.


            Well, it isn't as simple as that - You'll still have to have a hard drive connected to it at all times - but it certainly can revolutionize reading in general - many a device, especially mobile ones, can benefit greatly from having an electronic paper display that will not consume any energy through backlighting etc. It will have to be connected to something though, some sort of tiny storage device, but these can be minute with today miniaturizing capabilities, and the low amounts of space that text and still images take.

                damn instead of paper newspapers you just buy ones a flex electronic paper gizmo and hook it up to something like you mobile phone with blue tooth and get your news on there...
