Just saw it. My first reaction: this movie is a masterpiece. Mind you, this is my first reaction, I could change my mind afterwards. I don't understand some of the reviews on Rotten tomatoes. Some critics accused him of being anti-American, and a friend told me Lars von Trier says in the DVD commentary that his movie is a criticism of America. I think its a case of the artist missing the point of his creation. 
IMO, it doesn't criticize America, but humanity. The story has an almost biblical quality to it. I'm surprised he wrote it himself. The actors are all top notch. And John, the Voice, Hurt the narrates the movie.
