    Well....maybe not:

    Denmark jails 'racist' pizza man

Danish pizzeria owner Aage Bjerre empties a bottle of French champagne outside his restaurant

A Danish pizzeria owner has gone to jail for refusing to pay a fine imposed after he barred German and French customers from his restaurant.

Aage Bjerre acted in protest against the French and German governments' opposition to the US-led war in Iraq.

He will now serve an eight-day sentence at a minimum security prison, the Associated Press reports.

"I'm doing it to show my sympathy with the United States," he said. He refused to pay a 5,000-kroner (£461;$800) fine.

In June 2003 a Danish court convicted of him of racial discrimination.

The 46-year-old was forced to sell his pizzeria on the western island of Fanoe after repeated vandalism and a plunge in sales.

In February 2003 he had put up signs at his pizzeria with bars through the images of people coloured in the French and German flags.

He also reprinted his menus without German translations.

The island is a popular spot with tourists from neighbouring Germany, but there are few French visitors to Fanoe, which has a year-round population of 3,300.
Well, the "racism" accusation seems a little bit overdone, but lets all stop selling stuff to those who disagree with us in certain political questions.

    What a fool.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

I have printed many texts without German translations; in fact I have never printed a german translation. Better not to visit Danemark.

Yeah, but the guy seemed to have them earlier, but then decided to teach those Germans something by leaving them out

So you oppose the proposed boycotts of Israeli academics? Good for you.

If he refused to sell beer to Germans, it is clearly against human rights, and 8 days in jail are certainly not enough a punishment.

8 years seems harsh to me, unless the guy has a history of this kind of stupidity.
*edited because I was dumb. Yeah, i know it was 8 days...now *

Who is boycotting them? Germany? Never heard of it. But it sounds stupid too. Research is an international process, which needs cooperation. But I don't see how this is related to the case above.

I oppose many boycotts, but esp. those where individuals go crusading.
