Second, yes, I find the whle culture notion weak, but you know what? I accept and will engage in actual debate, like I am with LoTM. The difference is that LoTM actually tries to make points and marshall evidence and ask question.

Guilty as charged, at least with regards to you. I have little interest in debating with someone who doesn't even have a grasp on basic facts.

The show today made plenty of annoying production decisions. Too much time spent telling the story of the battle, as opposed to what set it up. Its strange because presented that way it undermines Diamond's point more (for example, someone could say that the decisive event of that day was Atahualpa's hubris.

Also, smallpox does play a huge role in that day:they fail to mention that the victories Atahualpa is celebrating are those over his brother Huascar, as a civil war is coming to an end, cause the Previous Inca had died of smallpox.
