But have you found that sometimes you get what you need ? Especially if you've just seen your mother, baby, standing in the shadows.

Having sung in a boys choir, I find it peculiar how they pronounce "t" in the intro.Originally posted by Serb:Please, remind me, how exactly and when exactly, Russia bullied its neighbors?

It's the fault of the Danes.
Bad Danish genes mean some people from London and Essex lose their ts in word's such as 'get' and 'lot'- so they become " ge' " and " lo' " .
Especially faux Cockernees such as Mr Ja'er, doin' 'is Cockernee Blues schtick.
Now listening to Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood:
Some Velvet Morning
Lee:
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Nancy:
Flowers growing on the hill
Dragonflies and daffodils
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Lee:
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Nancy:
Flowers are the things we knew
Secrets are the things we grew
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name

These music threads always make me shake my head. Most of these posts can be reduced to:
"Look at all the offbeat stuff on MY playlist! I am so special and unique!"
I check out the what people actually ARE listening to and buying, just to see if I am falling behind. Nope; I guess that those who listen to the music for plebs simply don't post here.
Way too much hip-hop, and an almost complete lack of classic rock and country tunes. No one mentions Jessica Simpson, but that is probably a good thing.
Pekka:
yeah.. a kick ass playlist once again.. I got too much great albums...Long live the Dead Threads!!

Ain't it strange ? I own everything I've listed here. But then I've been collecting since I was a mere strip of a lad, so forgive me if my musical tastes aren't as ordinary as say owning a Britney Spears compilation or Usher singles.
Listening to:
The Velvet Underground: Here She Comes
from this box set- which, sad to say, I do actually own.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.
