Two state elimination

I'm bored. And I havn't made a thread in like four years. So...

Imagine that you have the ability to make two states of the US secede from the country permanently. What would those two states be?

Actually, only the northern tip was British/Canadian.

Texas would probably be able to look after itself pretty well on its own. Also, having it as an independant state would make it easier to pressure them to cut down the pollution levels a bit. And Alaska to Canada, because they can probably be trusted (more than Bush) with somewhere like that without carving it up for oil.

EITHER California and Texas....


*OR* My home state of New York, and we'd take New Jersey with us(New Jersey, you guys are l33t!)

We have a very significant population, enough food production in our two states to support our two populations, trillions of dollars in corporate headquarters... manufacturing..... we have quite a bit of military power here too(New York has the largest sub base ON THE PLANET)

Then we'd be able to escape the stupidity of the federal goverment.

Small goverment > big goverment.


I bet I am the only person here to think of kicking out their OWN state .


If possible, New York and New Jersey(The United States of Liberty) would consider forging a confederation with Canada... canadas population is AROUND 32 million. The population of New York is 20.5 million and New Jersey is 8 million.
