                  Wilkins is probably a better pick than a lot of the kickers who were picked before him so he's a sleeper by definition.


                  That's not a sleeper!! A sleeper is someone who is going to surprise and perform to an unexpectedly high level. Though I'm not sure he's that much of a better pick than the kickers before him. Stover, Janikowski, Vinateri, Elam, Graham, Vanderjagt, Longwell? Perhaps ahead of Graham and perhaps Janikowski, but the rest I'd take as soon as I'd take Wilkins. And there are some kickers just as good (if not better) still out there.

                  Now if you took him as the 15th selected K, perhaps you could name him as sleeper, but in the top 10 kickers picked? Nawww.

                      So he was picked 8th and he'll be Top 5.... yeah, that really sounds like a sleeper . Is Andre Johnson a sleeper because he was the 8th WR chosen and may finish in the Top 5? What about 8th QB, Jake Plummer? How about 8th RB, Corey Dillion? Randy McMichael as 8th TE chosen?

                      You can't name someone who was picked in the Top 10 of their position as a 'sleeper'. Everyone knows their talent. Once people start picking backups for that position and you pick someone with Top 5 talent, then it's a sleeper (which means, yes, kickers are NEVER sleepers).

                          Andre Johnson is not a sleeper... sorry. Now last year he may have been (though I probably wouldn't call him so). This year, he's expected to do great things.

                          You can't be called a sleeper when, say, you are ranked as the 13th best fantasy WR this year on a rankings site:

                            A sleeper is someone who is an unknown and turns out to do well - not necessarily top-five but well. Generally sleepers come in the last half of the draft.

                            A player like Jeff Wilkens or Andre Johnson is underrated, not a sleeper.
