There are surely many people who hate him... but it takes more than hatred to attempt an assasination. That takes a maniac or a lunatic, and the number of those is small, no matter how much the current president is loved or hated.

Besides, as it has been said, shooting the president is no easy task. Bush is definitely the most heavily guarded president of USA, so you need to be a very good shooter with a very good rifle to shoot him from afar, because you will not get close to him without getting shot yourself.

Then again, they almost blew Bush up in Georgia...

We've already determined that Liberals' weapon of choice is a cream pie. While you can kill someone by drowning him in cream, it's rather difficult.

Now that I would put a bullet into him but as far as we know, NO ONE EVEN HAS TRIED!
We've also already determined that Liberals are anti-American in that they seek to have gun restrictions. They don't believe in guns, since it's against their religion. (Though, personally, I think guns are less the problem and bullets more so. Cease to believe in bullets, and they might not hurt you.)

Pardon me, but this thread is stupid.

It is however indicative of something, but I'm not gonna tell you what.

Why would anybody want to assasinate Bush? Even if you think the man is evil enough to warrant such an act, what would you think the backlash would be?

If 911 was able to introduce something as bad as Homeland Security what do you think murdering Bush would do?

It is however indicative of something, but I'm not gonna tell you what.

            Why not?

Actually, it's sad. Surely shooting Bush would provoke a horrible outcry, and so on. But the truth is, he is just one man, and an action that kills many is worse. 9/11 killed three thousand, so it's three thousand times worse than shooting Bush.

Besides, I am of the opinion that Bush isn't even the most important man in the country. Sure he has the power, and everything, but he's not one of those men who are of amazing importance. There are scientists that develop outstanding technologies, and the most brilliant scientists are more important to the country than the president, IMO.

How is Homeland Security in and of itself any worse than MI5?

MI5 has an Alias-type tv show named after it, whereas Homeland Security does not.

MI5 is British, no? So why do you mention it in a Bush thread?
