I kinda like this, IMHO the pace is nice... but I also like to get more past stories

i bleieve the show is touted to run for 5-6 seasons so they cant give too much away too early.

however we have discovered an awful lot aobut what is going on

last season our biggest questions were

      1. what happened to the plane to cause the crash.

      2. what was in the hatch

      3. who are the others

      4. what is the "monster" secrurity system

      5. what is special about the numbers.

      now in season 2

      1. we know what is down the hatch , but opening just raised more questions.

      2. the porducers have stated that we will find out how the plane crashed this season

      3. Still too early to guess about the others.

      4. The security system is "black smoke" but we dont know how it works

      5. And the numbers we may never know what it is.

End the show after 2-3 seasons. Otherwise, I'll get stale and stretch suspension of disbelief too far--as Prison Break is already starting to do.

being a semi scifi show it can last a lot longer than a normal show.

Yes, but Alias, another JJ Abrams project, went stale after 2 seasons.

Besides, you can have a show last a lot longer than it should--doesn't mean it'll stay good.

They're trying to stretch the show too much. The plot has bogged down. Some plot elements have just plain vanished. My wife, who really liked it at first, is turning against it b/c of this. I typically just listen to it while she watches it (I'm playing Civ).

I think the modern world just wants answers too quickly.. i like the way it gives a piece of the puzzle as ananswer and yet asks more questions at the same time.

Honestly? I don't think it's in this case a deficient attention span--but rather, there's a breaking point when you're trying to create an aura of mystery and suspense, and there's a limit to which you can go with pushing the suspension of disbelief.

If you go too slowly, you run the risk of elevating frustration, not disinterest with plot movement. Frustration doesn't always bode so well with shows on the television.

i agree, if they gave away nothing each show then it wouldbe moving slowly, but every episosde has revelaed something .

whether it be a part of the answer of the island or jsut a revelation as to why certain people are reacting i ncertain ways.

we need to know all the characters back storys and how they are all interrelated to garnish the full answer.

the show is full of little surprises and easter eggs that are only semi relvant to the overall answer.

The dog is behind it all. Right from the first episode that dog was setting things up. The real question is why?

Great episode last night. Good to see the real Sawyer re-emerge, and the see the consequences of the Charlie beatdown. We may be seeing a realignment of the axises.
