With such a deficit, you have to cut budget where you can. Veteran care is typically a useless budgetary post, that can be funded only when the country is rich enough to afford it. Obviously, in the face of today's defiicits, this kind of charity must be axed.

It´s unamerican to be a soldier and get severely wounded in battle.
A real american soldier goes into battle and survives with only a few scratches or at least dies as a hero

Its insane that the other side of the aisle has so partisanized everything that people actually think they have to SHOW that they support the troops!

Especially when there are needy millionaires who'd starve to death unless Bush gave them yet another tax cut. Everyone knows crippled war veterans are just welfare sponges anyway.

We have unearthed plenty of examples of corporate wrongdoing but sadly we can't find this page. Perhaps you can check your links and try again? Image
Or simply Google "Haliburton contract cost profit" with articles from the last 3 months. To summarize. Nobody knows how much Haliburton has made, but it is a huge amount. I'd have to do more reading to see if anyone has assembled minimum estimates, but to quote from one of my little girl's books "Soooo big.
