  • What makes you happy?

I prefer clam chowder, though I don't mind a good vegetable soup so long as there's enough bread for dipping.

Never tried clam chowder. Doesn't seem to be real popular in Brisbane.

Of the two options, clam chowder by a mile although I prefer a good mixed seafood chowder even more . . . oh a nice thick chowder with chunks of salmon and scallops and mussles and shrimp . . . maybe with a smoky flavor or some black pepper.

Home-made Clam Chowder wins by a long shot. It's my favorite soup to make and eat.

Just clam chowder or vegetable soup? My vote would be for neither, choosing instead a good thick beef stew and a good dark beer.

Won ton soup after a trip to the beach.

Or, a walk along the beach in Cornwall after breakfast, then going in to Mousehole for a Cornish cream tea in the afternoon.
