I like to use dude, don't work in dutch though. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I use "buddy," "pal" and "ace" when making a snide/condescending remark at someone.
I use "dude," depending on the company I'm around. When around people my age it just kinda comes out a lot (same with "man"). I occassionally use it. I use "man" more often, which means the same in Dutch and English. Probably use "kee'l" the most though, which is Twents, a local dialect and my native tongue.
