  • Do you listen to internet radio?

I do. This weekend I discovered that one of the official Dutch broadcasting companies has several internet broadcasts.

This is the one I listen to most: http://shoutcast.omroep.nl:8040/listen.pls
A lot of Americana, country, singer-songwriters... It ranges from Hank Williams to John Hiatt and everything in between

You can find all their broadcasts here: http://3voor12.vpro.nl/3voor12/live/kies_audio.jsp
It is in Dutch but you will have no problems picking your favourite kind of music. They have everything. From guitar pop to house and everything in between. No jazz though
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
    Once again...

      Podcasting is where it's at.

Meaningless amateur drivel instead of meaningless well-paid drivel.

      Now that's progress.

This austrian "alternative" radio station has quite a good english program in the morning (starting from 7 to ~13, GMT+1).
There is an official stream on http://fm4.orf.at (right on top of the page), but that didn't work so well with me.

Here is another: http://fm4.amd.co.at (which says you are prohibited to use outside of austria )
It works though (or not )

I used to listen, but when the Courts required internet radio to pay way more for broadcasting songs, all the good ones died out.

I sometimes listen to internet radios, to make sure that I find a talkative one ifn a foreign language. I'm underwhelmed by BBC live media, but Deutsche Welle's rocks

Live365 is the easiest and least expensive way to create a legal internet radio station as well as the best place to discover and listen to thousands of free stations from every genre of music and talk.

I listen to accuradio.com at work; usually either the Piano Jazz channel or the Brit Rock channel, depending on my mood. I'd rather listen to real radio stations (like WYEP Pittsburgh), but I find that dj chatter breaks my concentration.

To show you how good it is, it's the official radio station of USC and I went to UCLA
