From what I just read, this has only just now become popular in 3D graphics -- only because modern video cards are fast enough to compute it in real time (vertex shaders).

I'm actually pretty good t the things that compsci people actually study. I'm just not good at actually using computers or knowing proper syntax etc.
Took me 5 hours to figure out how to link to the right libraries and put them in my path on my compiler.s

You know what would be interesting, is you get a PCI-Express system with a Radeon X850 -- then implement this algorithm using the GPU and have it write the results out to main memory.

they're really ****ty old workstations, but luckily they're netweorked well enough that they steal each other's processing time if there's nobody else using them (network is about 100 computers), so **** runds rpetty fast overnight.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET
