Doh, so much for being a poly sci major, with a career in politics, who lives outside of DC.

Guess I shouldn't be allowed to vote. Oh yea, I'm over 18, so it doesn't matter what I know or don't know about politics, cause my birthdate is far more important.

Governor of AR: Mike Huckabee, R-AR (mixed feelings about him.)

        Historical AR Governors:
        Jim Guy Tucker
        Bill Clinton
        Win Rockefeller
        Orval Faubus
Jefferson Davis (no, but being born in 1864 he was probably named after the President)
        Ambrose Sevier

        Historical AR Senators
        Fulbright
        Pryor
Hattie Caraway (the first woman ever elected to the Senate)

        Mayor
Claybaker (not really fair. Everyone here knows who the mayor is because he's been mayor for at least a decade now.)
meet the new boss, same as the old boss

The real question is, how well did you know this stuff at 16?

I'm 42. When I was 16, my senators were Charles Percy and Adlai Stevenson III; my rep was John Porter. The Supreme Court consisted of Burger, Brennan, Douglas, White, Marshall, Renquist, Blackmun, Powell, and Stevens. And no, I didn't have to Google any of that.

So, clearly, only I should be allowed to vote.

From experience, Bills get introduced to the City Council all the time. Heck, Dennis Gallagher from Queens has talked up proposing a curfew in the City after 10pm.

I have not heard about the Mayor or the City Speaker on such an idea- so I can't judge what the likelyhood of the bill passing would be. I guess this would have to be heard by the Youth and Elections commitees, probably will be a joint meeting.

This being an election year, this might get delayed-everyone is up for re-election this year, including Gail.

On a personal note, she is pretty competent most of the time, but she is from the upper west side and supposedly has 40 student interns, so obviously she cares for the youth.

Ah, DD, but you forgot. Ozzy can just explain it away by saying the scientists were biased against youth.

Heaven knows scientists are never biased, nor would they ever sponsor racist, ageist, or otherwise biggoted research.
