Yes, but how does it work? Like, what's it doing in my brain?

An anti-inflammatory pain reliever such as Ibuprofen reduces the production of prostaglandins, restoring nerve endings to their normal sensitivity. The reduction of the production of prostaglandins also increases mobility and relieves symptoms of pain, swelling and redness. In effect Ibuprofen can reduce pain as well as the inflammation that causes the pain.

It's a COX-2 inhibitor; ditto the rest of what Tuberski said. There's a bit of controversy over COX-2 at the moment due to perceived cardiovascular risks - I know, it's weird considering aspirin is meant to be cardioprotective. I won't give up on the Celebrex just yet.

You don't wanna know what it does to your brain, but you've got a big house so it'll be OK.

The pill casing is soluble in the gastric contents of the stomach. When the casing has dissolved it releases the tiny little exorcist that has been trapped inside. The little exorcist quickly roams around the body, until it finds where Pain Fairies are hiding. When it finds Pain Fairies, it performs a short exorcism ritual with a teeny-tiny book and candle, before beating them to death with a hammer, dismembering the little bodies, and burying them in a shallow grave. The little exorcist then withers away to husk over the course of the next week or so, and its bones, skin and hair are expelled by the drug user as a big and satisfying poo.

It may be good for a headache but its bad for the liver. I went back to aspirin.

If you stay within the recommended dosage, your liver will be fine. For joint inflammation, ibuprofen is far better than most other painkillers.

That should make his eye-joints feel better . Wouldn't Aleve be better for for eye muscles? Which brings me to an interesting question: When your "eyes" ache what is actually sore? I thought it may be the muscles.
