A couple of years later, I was thinking about buying a convertable, so I called by agent to see what that would do to my insurance. He took one look and screamed, "@#^&!@!, where do you live?!"
    "Near Koreatown."
"Oh, well you can't afford insurace for a rag top."
"Whatta you mean, I can't afford it?? You don't even know how much I make."
"I don't care how much you make. You can't afford it."
Why didn't you buy a bicycle instead ? that would have been both healthier and cheaper

Living in L.A. is suicidal. Smog, earthquakes, riots, car crashes, volcanoes, alien death rays...

Nah, Just do like one of my former colleagues - he had big boots and when a car got too close he hit them.

Ok, his 2 meters height, acoordingly bodybuild and green hair has may helped him

My problem is that people would be shooting at me if I was on my bike in most of the neighbourhoods of this city.

That and the fact that lugging the week's groceries home on a bike is ridiculous.

when riding a bike you don't buy for the whole week, but I can see your problem - more turns in the shooting field

Would a snowcat be more appropriate for your neighbours ?

Then explain why one insurance company comes up with a quote 80% higher than another company's quote given the exact same information?
