But seriously, I've had lightning-rod jobs in the past, where I've had to take the flack for the company's incompetence, even tho I was innocent. Your goal should be to re-aim the focus of their attack in a direction other than yours. Try saying something like this:
You are so right! It's inexcusable to have only [two, three] of us here when it's this busy. We've complained to management but they ignore us because we're only valets.
--But they really respect you customers. What would really help this situtation out would be if, once you get home, you write the manager or call with your complaint. He'll listen to you. Us, he just ignors. How 'bout it?
