    This thread is about stupid practices and number of whacks upside the head required to be administered to remedy the situation.


    Using MSIE - 10 whacks ...subsequently complaining about spyware and viruses - 50 additional whacks

    Using a spreadsheet program to make tables - 5 whacks

              What's wrong with Window's Media Player 10? I don't believe I've eer gotten spyware or a virus because of it either. Of course I also use spyware blockers and a virus checker.

                Odd enough, IE is much faster thn Firefox, both at booting and surfing, so I seldomly use FF

                        It's just pathetic that so many people are using computers at such a primitive level. Yeah, sure, they know how to operate the various office applications (word processors, spreadsheet programs, etc.) but they have no understanding of when to use what.

                        A lot of people automatically use spreadsheet programs to make tables because a spreadsheet is in tabular form. They don't know spreadsheets aren't make for that.

                        Even more people use spreadsheet programs for database work, and end up with 'sheets mindboggling complex and impossible to maintain.

                        Of course, then you have FrontPage users, who are in a class of their own.
