He's coming, but will he deliver to the crowd as well? It shouldn't be your PM who gets all the juice if he comes on Denmark now, I mean like you said, it's a rare occasion so ... people should get some too, some of that glory thing of it.

When Clinton was here in '97, he spoke to 80,000 people - including little me - in downtown Copenhagen. And I lived in Fredensborg then (small town with royal residence north of Copenhagen), where he was staying for the night, 600m from my house.

I don't expect Bush to be adressing such a huge crowd, but you never know.

80 000 seems a lot.. even if they are done with fast. I mean.. 80 000.. especially in small country. You wouldn't expect having to go through that I'd suppose.. and after sitting a long flight from the US also, just makes it worse.

                Gay sex? Hadn't a clue.

It was a lot of people. We got there 2 hours in advance, and the square was almost filled by then. We hardly got to see him from where we ended up. There was all day coverage on both TV channels of the visit, it was like nothing I'd ever experienced. But then Clinton was immensely popular here, not so with Bush. That will also have an influence on the program I suspect.

                      I will!

Hey, don't start drinking too heavily or anything from guilt. I probably should have been on guard when balls were even mentioned in connection with leading politicians.

the best would be a person to person meeting between pekka and bush. can you imagine? pekka going "thank you mister president for the freedom and democracy!!!" bush going "well you're welcome little fellow" and shaking hands.
that would be the act of the month

paiktis, why not? I don't HATE Bush. I do think he's an idiot, but he's a president of the US too so I would shake his hand no problem and say nice things. Why not... he hasn't taken my freedom away either so.. sure. Of course I wouldn't say thanks for the freedom and democracy though, because I didn't get it from him. I'd say things like 'It's an honour to meet you Mr President, I hope you enjoy your stay' or something like that. and then 'I know you're busy but could you please sign this for me', and he'd officially be my referrer to the green card, I don't think it would become a problem then.

I think most people would go for a Presidential handshake if they ever had the chance, whether they agree with the guy or not.

I don't think there would be stockpiles of people standing outside the embassy beggin for that
                                Unless of course in Denmark.
                                I don't know about that.
