we were stopped in new hampshire on our way to her cousin's wedding. she was unpacking a bag in the hotel room, and i figured it was now or never, so i produced the ring and got down on one knee. however, terror took my voice from me, and i looked up to her in fear and silence as i slipped the ring on her finger. she hugged me tightly, and i stood and kissed her. there were few actual words spoken. then we rutted like savages and spoke of things the future may hold for us.
