Ok there's a blog about Finland with the Washington post.
It has some people commenting on them, and this dude who lived in Cali and now in Finland and moving back to Cali is totally asking to get nuked in the ass. It's clear he thinks he understand us, but never really got to know us, only the skin. His observations are sometimes very accurate, and other times he's just a whiny little *****. Let me dedicate this thread owning Eduardo, the lost little man. And I'm quoting every line of his on his comments about the article Modest Finland, here's to you Eduardo:
"Oh... you know, A finn may say somethng depreciating about himself, but in his or her mind, they are completely confident that they are completely superior to you. Expecially if they have a university degree."
WTF? Eduardo knows everyones mind! Especially if they have Uni degrees? Dude.. wtf?
"But they do have a sort of self-confidence problem whenever it comes to a competition against Swedes. I would say they are more prone to be pesimistic. For example, I know many women whose finnish doctors told them they may have breast cancer, only to be told a few days later that it wasn't breast cancer after all. Finns like to give the worst possibility first."
Sure, this could be accurate.
"I will try to write more, I am married to a Finn and am from Los Angeles myself. I'm going crazy in this country so we'll be returning to Los Angeles this summer."
Good, go back to LA you whiny *****.
"One major factor contributing to happiness in finland is NOT KNOW WHAT IS OUT THERE! You see, finns travel, but few have ever lived outside of the country. They think winter lasts 6 months all over the world. They think 25,000 euros per year is a good salary for a engineer with a masters. And since I am paying between 30 to 50 percent in income taxes, then 20 percent sales taxes plus who knows how many other taxes. I wouldn't call my health care or any welfare benefits FREE."
Don't know what's out there? Hey pedro, we actually DO know what is outside of our country. And the reason not many of us live outside Finland is because, well, doh, there's not many of us to begin with. Did you know there are no millions of people of Luxemburg living outside Luxemburg? I see your paid education went straight to the trash bin. 25k for engineer IN HERE IS normal. IN HERE. Everyone is at least an engineer in here. It's not like that's something special. Engineer is someone who didn't study longer than necessary almost. Then again, you said you were an engineer. So sorry! Stop whining and get educated, be competitive and stop crying because you can't do ****. Health care free... **** it isn't free? It's paid by taxes. I think people DO know that. It seems like you're the only one surprised at this. YOu were expecting Free ****? I see it let you down. Too bad. *tear

now that was his first short comment. I'll get to the big bugger next. EDUARDO YOU ARE FIN(N)ISHED! Talking crap like you're an expert. You ain't seen nothing yet!
