the worst line in the Starwars series is when R2-D2 in 'The return of the jedi' says:

*beep* *beep* *dwoolp* *piep*

while:

*beep* *dwoolp* *beep* *piep* *beep*

would have been much better!!!

I thought the lamest line was Padme's "So this is how democracy ends: with thunderous applause." Everyone seems to be creaming their pants with it, but it is just as stilted and stodgy -- if not more so -- than anything Lucas has written in all six episodes.

It isn't all pants: McGregor's 'You were my brother!' line is apt for the occasion and delivered with sufficient gravitas.
