    "Who's Zed?"

Diss, Zed is the creature that lives in the wall next to my comp. Could be a rat but sounds bigger like a racoon. He gets thumping around like he's getting comfortable...or maybe has a friend and is making little Zedlings.

"Good choice. Don't be fooled by the gullible clowns curently sneering about Merlot- there are some fantastic ones out there."

Thank you Laz, it's was a particularly dry wine, which is my preference.

    "ZOD UBER ALLES!!!!!!!"

Ted, I do hope Zod isn't living in the wall.

Day off today, much needed chance to relax.

It was gullible clowns that made merlot popular in the first place. Nine times out of ten, merlot isn't done well. It tends towards being watery and vinegary. Never really been a fan of the stuff, though good merlot is indeed good. My philosophy though, is why bother. A good Zin or Shiraz beats the pants off of every other red, and they are mostly good.

Personally, I'll take a good Pauillac or any of the St. Estephe appellations.

Margaux is 60% Merlot. If you have the money, I highly recommend Duckhorn Merlot.

I'd pick a Primitivo or Tempranillo over Zinfandel or Syrah any day- and the good Merlots are always worth the money.

Rather have a case of the clap than a case of Fwench wine.

You get the clap, I'll get the Frog wine, and we'll both have what we want.

Weeelll, Pa didn't drink all the wine so maybe I'll venture another glass.

Che, if you ever make it to the Phils, bring a bottle or two of what you call good and I'll be happy to give my opinion.

It might be cheaper to have it shipped from Oz, seeing how close it is.

Put it in your bags dude! Actually in your carry on is best. I usually bring a couple of bottles of red that way.

I'm curious, what did you do with the cork?

I once had an amusing bottle of Marom Cabernet Sauvignon. Very fruity. Good nose, excellent finish.

Well this one has no nose but nice cheeks, however not at all fruity...
