  • Gay Issues Thread XXXXXVII

Here is a short article on one of the latest developments concerning second-class citizenship of gays and lesbians in United States.

In the interest of psychiatric health of gays and lesbians . . . . . .

      There's just no content.

So there is nothing in the article on which Apolytoners can disagree on, to spark debate?

Wow -- a historic moment -- something that all Apolytoners can agree on. I'm going to write this down in my journal for posterity.

You need to title them better:

"All Psychiatrists are gay" is a start
          Or: "AMERICAN Psychiatrists are gay"
          Or: "xxx hott xxx"
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

            ok

Well here is a question: To what extent should medical associations and organizations involve themselves in politics concerning social issues? True, pyschiatrists, according to the article, are making a connection with this social issue to psychiatric health, but would this still be a fair question to ask?

I'm not disagreeing with the involvement of the pyschiatrists by the way -- the above is a devil's advocate question.

Hmmm . . . . . you're beginning to reveal my true, homophobic identity. I must send out my foot soldiers to dispose of you now.

It's not a piece of cheese -- it's a sponge, as Japher already pointed out.
