        another corny line

The Noooooo!! wasn't as corny as people said. But I admit it's not as good as Khaaaaaan!!

I don't get what you said about Darthenstein. I thought the darth vader thing was pretty cool.
Lines that were so bad that I play them over and over and laugh at them: (Erm, legally, of course. I run a projector at a movie theater or something.)

You won't escape this time, Dooku!

YOU FOOL! I have been TRAINED in your Jedi arts by COUNT DOOKU!

        Just as Count Dooku predicted!

No, it is because I am in love with you!

Not if anything to say about it I have!

A prophecy that misread could have been.

The reason the NOOOOO wasn't awful was because it was James Earl Jones. I actually thought his few lines were the most compelling of all. That familiar voice saying "yes master" was awesome, but then the next thing he says is "Where is Padme? Is she all right?" It's the first time we see him in the mask, but he's still human.

          • Yes. But I can think of at least ten lines that were worse.

            • Nobody is watching SW for the dialogue anyway.

As for Diss's mother/daughter fantasy, Leia was like a couple frikken minutes old when Padme died!!! You sick pervert!!!
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

I shouldn't have to say this, but I was assuming she had lived.

                    • and star wars is sci-fi. Just not hardcore sci-fi like other stuff.

Let's just call if sci-fi lite and stick with that.

                        • -1) Darthenstein- WTF? Was Lucas going for some stoopid Homage? That almost ruined the netire movie for me, and totally corn balled it for everyone I know.

Um... the whole basis for Star Wars was the cheesy, corny 20s-30s space action flicks like Buck Rodgers. Corn ball was a major part of that genre.

                            • Now that Lucas seems to have given direct consent for someone to make a star wars TV series I wonder if there would be anything left for it to tie up between 3 and 4 or if it will rather be set in a period which doesn't allow it to directly relate to subsequent events in any of the movies?

If they are dead set on III-IV setting for such a series, I hope to god they use the opportunity to better flesh out how Darth Vader (voiced by james earl jones naturally) becomes the hardened bad arse paragon of stately evil he was in the OT from the mostly angsty, broken man we see him as at the end of ep III.
