If you chickened out and did not commit the evil deed, I don't think you can be prosecuted on intent alone

This is a hypthetical. A man assaults a woman, but she does not die immediately. Sometime later, she does die of injuries she sustained in the assault. Is the man guilty of murder or at least of manslaughter?
If it's hypothetical, why is someone specifically mentioned in the poll?

Here's another one, likely more inflammatory:
If you get a girl drunk with the intent of having sex with her, is it rape?
I vote: yes.
It's yes, if she says you raped her, but you still didn't.

"Capitalism ho!"
How is it a rape if you both got very drunk and/or stoned, and one thing let to the other? If one "gets a person drunk" then, yes, but if a boy and a girl are drinking together, after the Nth beer all sorts of **** can happen.

No. If the girl gets drunk and does something she regrets, it's her own fault. "I was drunk" is not an excuse.
