              i can confirm that is (probably) true.

              and a european 'super league' is a horrible idea, mostly advanced by those who don't understand the sport.

                            There's been a lot of crap talked in this thread.

                            What the "glory hunter" parrots consistently forget is that Manchester United do have an extremely large, loyal fanbase. United have had the highest average attendance every year bar one in the last forty or so - even when they were relegated they still had higher attendances than every club in the entire country.

                            As for Glazer, well the jury is still out. If he delists United, then he does have the money to pay off the debt - the money which had previously gone on dividends can furnish the loan. We'll just have to wait and see...

                                You can set the terms of promotion and relegation. As far as I know, these things aren't set into stone tablets.
