  • Do you ever look at fictional characters and think that they have leveled up?

    like rambo for example

he leveled up fighting in afganistan and so on, so for him to break a sweat he needs to take on spaceships and an alien invasion (Because I imagine that he leveled up fighting against the tanks and helocopters)

or maybe just a superpower (but we all know that a 1000 of a lower level enemy isn't as good of a fight as 1 of a higher level enemy)

this is also in relation to the group in SG1, I think that they have attained max level, I can't imagine anything being difficult for them anymore

similiar things could be said for lots of fictional characters in series...

    (kirk attained max level also)

A 'level-up' is for RPG games, don't know about movies, etc.

Really depends how serious you take junk like Rambo and SG1...

Patton leveled up a lot also, imagine what he would have been able to do if he hadn't been killed in that jeep accident

I think you are playing too many games of Diablo or something...

People evolve as they gain experience, so I guess you are on the right track...

(in HoI2 your generals level up, as do your combat units)

Omg JM, you remind me so much of the guy that owns the comic book store in the Simpsons, or Craig in Malcom on the Middle.
Who's stronger, Cpt Picard or Cpt Kirk?

Every Kung Fu movie ever made involves the main character being defeated/humiliated by the villain and then levelling up until he defeats/humiliates the villain in the final battle.

Edit: Almost every Kung Fu movie

I never thought about it that way before, but now I probably will, even though I don't play RPGs

Practically all of the characters in Star Wars.

Depends on which level they are at.

Not any of Jackie Chan's more recent ones, though. Starting with Police Story I reckon.
