As obvious as this joke was, at least two publications were taken in by it: The [London] Guardian and the New Zealand Southland Times. Both ran the "Presidential I.Q." tale as a factual item (on 19 July and 7 August 2001 respectively).
The Guardian is such a crap paper. It really is. Even though they retracted it later it still shows what low standards they have. I hate Dumaya but even I could tell this was fake.

Kind of sad some people have a real need to spread these stories and not really care if they are true or not. Sort of makes me wonder where else they take short cuts at.

What is even more sad is that a Canadian would try to hold another country's democratically elected leader up to ridicule. Look in a mirror.

In the instances where Bush is clearly incorrect, then the story is likely to be untrue. If the tale had been retold as "The problem with the French is they have no such word as 'entrepreneurialshipness'." then I might have believed it.

Don't tell me that there is a language that has such a word.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

OK. I admit it's rather uncertain that Bush would really have said that. OTOH, anyone who takes seriously a denial from Blair's spokesperson has to be retarded.
