Paleontologists trace the root stock of Caucasoids and Orientals to a group that crossed the rudimentary red Sea about 70,000 years ago. They stayed in the area of Yemen for about 10000 years, then migrated out of the area in seperate streams, one group moving north, eventually becoming Caucasoids, the other group moved east. Some of the eastern group travelled along the coast line, found its way to Australia and became the Aborigines. The rest of the eastward group became Orientals.
The people remaining in Africa became Negroids. The Negroid race has a greater genetic diversity than Orientals or Caucasoids precisely because it comes from an older stock.

Close, but too simplified. The "Australian" lineage (which I will cal the Coastal Lineage) and the Inland Lineage seperated before they left Africa. The Interior lineage moved into the ME and then into Iran. In Iran it split into 3 groups, one that went into India and mixed with the coastals already there; one went into northern China, possibly through a pass in the Tien Shan Mts.; and the third went north into Central Asia. The Cental asians then split into 2 groups, one became the Europeans, the other went into Siberia, ansd later the Americas. In SE Asia, the coastals split, one population going into indonesia, and then Australia, one went north into East and Northeast Asia, mixing with the 2 lineages from central asia (note that modern Indonesians are "mongoloid" because of an expansion of rice-growing people in S. China much later). One population of the mixed siberian-coastal group also went to the Americas, probably associated with the arrival of the Na-dene language family, which includes Navajo, among others, (this is some time some time after the first migration), giving a "mongoloid" apearance to modern Native Americans (there is an early Paleo-Indian skeleton, called Kenewick Man, that looks "caucasian" and probably predates the 2nd migration).

In Africa, the modern population distrabution is a result of the spread of Bantu-speaking peoples moving in to the Congo Basin (formely populated mostly by Pygmies) and Southern and Eastern Africa (formerly populated mostly by Bushman-like people).

Of course, one can always argue that since Negroids, Caucasoids, and Orientals still belong to the same species it's nonsense to say that one evolved from the other.

You could also point out that Adam couldn't have been all three races at once, so how does one explain the existence of three races?

Yea, that's what I'm talking about. Most of the people of sub Saharan Africa weren't negroes until fairly recently. Which means it is quite possible that negroes are the most recent (and hence to racist thinking most evolved).
