PH, yes I agree this is exactly the reason she should be penalized. Rather in terms of paying back, than jail if it was up to me. Throw her in jail and again society ends up paying the bill, so rather since the case was mostly about resource wasting, I say make her pay back. I don't care how.. maybe those community helping things, I don' tknow.

I don't know if there needs to be a message sent, the message is crime doesn't pay in the US already, meaning if you get caught, you will go to buttybuttyprison for a long time. So maybe there can be exceptions made without hurting the message, but not paying a single dime back in this case is weird, sine the reality is, she did waste valuable resources.. Not just some resources, but police and rescue resources, which I would pretty much rank the #1 resource in society. People shouldn't have to tap in and pay these kind of thigns with their hard earned money in taxes. This money could have been spent on giving a heart surgery instead, invalid comparison, but resources are valuable.
