A rock larger than some arbitrary size X with a nearly perfect spherical shape that emits no visible light.
Half of the planets in our solar system would not fall under that definition.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

In any event, I would like to put as big of a visible light telescope as we can on orbit to look for exoplanets. It will cost a billion or so, but this stuff is the ****.

Half? I am not sure of that.

What planets in our system emit light?

I think he's going off the "rock" part of your definition, but pretty much all gas planets have a solid core.

Thanks for my new desktop picture.

Yes. Beautiful picture. Where'd you get it?
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Jupiter emitts lots of EM band stuff, and infrared.

What part of the spectrum is that photograph in? I doubt it's a visible light spectrum photo.

Technically, all bodies of all types that have a therodynamic temperature above absolute zero radiate.

How about "that emits no light from fusion reactions"? Or simply "whose mass is not sufficient to cause natural fusion reactions".

Is there any hope of finding a human habitable planet and sending people to it?

Sending people there is the tricky part. It's a rather energy-intensive endeavor...
