      2005 A.D. - 500 years = 1505 A.D.

That lets out Columbus & his discovery of America. I must think a bit on this.

The man who first realized that a movie camera could be used to film folks screwing.

He invented porn, which is what makes the internet possible.

George Washinton/Founding fathers in general - not only for founding the USA, but also for providing the democratic model that inspired the French revolution and democracy in Europe.

Napoleon I - for shaping Europe

Lenin - for founding the first Communist government, without him, there wouldn't have been a cold war in the same way

Beveridge - for founding the NHS and the modern welfare state, used in many European countries

Keynes - for influencing almost all policy decisions since in the developed world

Elizabeth I - at the time, had a huge influence over large parts of the world, and responsible in a large part for the British Empire

Henry VIII - as for shaping history, about the only monarch everyone in England has to study. Founded the Church of England and created the split from Rome

James I/VI - creating the United Kingdom

The Wright Brothers - a lot wouldn't have happened without flight, though it may have been discovered a few years after anyway

Einstein/the team at Los Alamos - the Atomic bomb has a lot of influence in history

                        Lincoln - for abolishing slavery

Hitler - WWII was a pretty important historical event

Archduke Ferdinand's assassin - ditto with WWI

That's about all I can think of, I'm sure there's many I would put but I've forgotten.
