  • The Shift

I want you all to confess how you made it to the winner circle. I think, for a long time I was a loser. I didn't want to be, but my attitude was hindering me, and it made my whole package of what is me stink. Everyone knows the cornerstones of success, but very few actually drive for them 100% day in day out. You have to be SUPER talented and have great fortune to ever make it if you don't follow those rules, and even then it's a stretch. Most people try some, but give up early, so they think they didn't have it, when they just needed to be more persistent on their dreams.

Now, when did the shift happen to you? I think mine happened.. about a.. year ago maybe. I was doing a lot of searching as to what I want, all I knew was that I'm going to get it, I just need to focus on something first. Now, it's starting to roll in.. slowly, but steadily. And I'm just starting, this is a building thing, step by step, getting more hungry, more confident, working more angles, making double and triple checks.

From what I have gathered is, that sometimes a bit of weirdness goes a long way. The.. it's a weird mix really. Hard for me to explain, but from my postings, you would not think my passion is mathematics and computer science. But what that requires is some sort of organized thinking and logical thinking patterns. When you bring a bit of weirdness into it, well you got me. So what's my key? The combination. I mean, there's fools luck, which I definitely have. But you have to be a bit out there to have it. It's like drunk luck. Drunk people never get hurt, everyone else does. From being super broke and not being able to chase my dream to chasing the dream, getting a career started already and finally maybe meeting someone who I think is special and we like each other, with a low rent nice single flat room and.. what can I say.. lady fortune has been on my side lately, and a lot!!

Tell me your recipe, and how your shift happened from the loser side to the winner side. And yes I made a thread about me, because ultimately, I'm an egomaniac. But hey, better that than sadistic satan worshipper, right?

Diss, man, you're a tough cookie to break. My opinion, honest opinion, is that you're in the wrong place. Somehow you're not getting what you deserve. I really do think that, even when I don't know you very well but from what I have learned. You should be getting a lot more, and I don't j ust mean in terms of money. I mean in everything. Something is holding you back, what that is, I do not know.

How did I become a winner?

By posting on Apolyton OT, of course.

VetLegion, thanks Yeah definitely. I feel blessed. I truly do.. very lucky. Had some series of misfortune, but then it came double fortune back to me, so hey.. you win some you lose some, but it's better to be winning more. And I'm soon maybe fighting too, so I feel very good right now.

The downside is, I cry like once a month.

I am being sarcastic and the killer was the ability I possess and being completely underutilised and unrecognised...

RIght, mr. I can never get a job

Nah, I'm glad that PH is also doing great.

One thing about finally rolling to the right direction is that you can be genuinely happy about others success.

exactly. . I got a nice slack job, and I like it. It gives me time to focus on the important things in life like computer games.

Very true - if your friends are doing well and you are stuck in a rut you get a bit resentful...

Careerwise things are looking very bright, constantly on the up and my skills and talents are well recognised. But I also know you can never rest on your laurels either.

As for women (the other part of my previous dilemma) well there's still not a lot that can be said about that, but that doesn't seem as important any more anyway. A lot of my problems have also been sorted out with antidepressants which coincided with a definite upturn in my life...

I think everyone feels that (I do), the secret is not to care (and I dont).
