How is it a rhetorical question when the question has an easy answer specified in the 1st post? Just admit you didn't know and move on.

Rhetorical questions are used for the production of some sort of effect. That statement didn't ellude any of that. What effect were your trying to reach there?
Secondly, it wasn't a question.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

finally a man of reason. And an Englishman too. That is the only decent song on that album. The rest was crap.Originally posted by Provost Harrison
Hang on just one damn second...the no. 1 was OK Computer by Radiohead? Now The Bends (preceeding album) was pretty good but this is where Radiohead just went plain ridiculous. Paranoid Android was a cool song but the only thing of any worth here...the rest is miserable w@nkery and absolutely nothing to remember. I thought this album was cool at first but then I realised it wasn't, therefore the only long term memory of it is Paranoid Android...

MADONNA - Like a Prayer
ABBA - Arrival
DURAN DURAN - Rio
DIDO - No Angel
ROBBIE WILLIAMS - I've Been Expecting You

It's amazing how people can like crappy things like this. And I cannot understand how three of these albums can actually be better than Joy Division's Closer.
Most people have a very poor musical taste indeed.I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. 100 years from now, Nick Drake will enjoy the same levels of fame as Van Gogh does today. Good to see him moving up the list, seeing as he sold fewer than 5,000 albums in his lifetime.NICK DRAKE - Five Leaves LeftThe genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

I couldn't agree more. For such a supposedly huge band, they also seem to have left little indirect impression on the music world, outside of a couple of crappy solo careers spun off by the members.Originally posted by Provost Harrison
For the most part I find most uninteresting to say the least, and despite the huge success The Eagles seem to have garnered, I find them breathtakingly dull....Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

Much easier to list the ones I have listened to:
MICHAEL JACKSON - Thriller
PINK FLOYD - Dark Side of the Moon
THE BEATLES - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
THE BEATLES - The White Album
JOHN LENNON - Imagine
SIMON AND GARFUNKEL - Bridge Over Troubled Water
THE DOORS - The Doors
BILLIE HOLIDAY - Lady Sings the Blues
THE WHO - Tommy
SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER - The Original Movie Soundtrack
NICK DRAKE - Five Leaves Left
THE EAGLES - Hotel California
Most of those were heard via other people listening to them and me having no choice (like in long car rides).Tutto nel mondo è burla

they were popular because they had such a broad appeal. Yes I like the eagles (but don't have any of their albums) a little. They are okay to listen to on the radio. They have their heavier rock songs, and then they play soft rock, and even a little bit of country. That's why they are so popular.Originally posted by Solomwi
