In Hawaii, to work for the State you need to be a resident for at least 1 yr before you are employed. Is this like the other states?
My guess is that's more of a Hawaii thing. People tend to move to Hawaii, live there for about a year, get "rock fever" and move back to the mainland.
I know it's hard to get work in Alaska unless you've already lasted one winter there without going bonkers.Comment
